“Ladies love yourself first; that’s happiness.”
Have you ever left your wound untreated? If we get cut while chopping vegetables, we probably clean it and put a bandage on it. If we have a stubborn fever or chronic pain, we visit a doctor. So, why don’t we understand that self-love is important? We know how to take of our bodies. But sadly, we don’t give much attention to our minds.
Last year was a roller coaster. I was really struggling with emotional instability and suffering from depression. Looking out at other strong women, I wondered how they could do it? How do they manage to love themselves?
I was curious and wanted to know the answers to share with other women like me who wanted to feel free-spirited. I asked a couple of friends; what their mantras and habit of self-care are?
What they told me is both revolutionary and a no-brainer at the same time. If I can practice it, you can too. There is a secret to self-love that is simple in practice and multifaceted in its benefits.
You are Imperfectly Perfect
We are human, and it’s in our nature to compare ourselves to others, and it is totally natural. But it can be dangerous. So, ‘STOP’ comparing yourself with others. Every woman is beautiful in their own way. There is just no point in comparing yourself to others. Anyone on this planet can’t be you because you are unique, and there is only one ‘YOU.’ So, it’s time to start focusing on yourself and your journey. Love yourself and see how things will turn in your favor.
No Opinion Matters More Than Your Happiness
Burst the bubble of so-called societal pressure. Don’t worry about what society thinks. Just do what makes you happy and be contended. Because in the last there is you who is there for yourself. You can’t make everyone happy, so this is totally a waste of time and will only slow down your journey. You are the best and capable of doing everything.
So, forget about all the voices in your head that say you need to be perfect. Make mistakes and learn from them.
Let GO of Toxic People
No one takes responsibility for the energy they put out in the world. If someone is bringing toxicity to your life and won’t take responsibility for it, step away from them. Don’t be afraid to do this; it’s liberating and important, even though it’s painful.
Protect your energy; it’s not rude, but remove yourself from situations that drain you.
Even if you don’t feel powerful, just take a moment and think about how far you have come. You have survived for good, so don’t let yourself go down because of just temporary situations. Love Yourself!
