Financial help for veterans
Veterans can initiate their requests with non-profit organizations or send grant applications. The amount of financial assistance that a subsidiary can grant depends on the results obtained while reviewing applications. Approval process
Each request for financial help for veterans is considered on the merits and particular circumstances of the Veteran and the demonstrated need. The difficulties that give rise to the Veteran's needs must be beyond the capacity of his personal resources and prove to be sufficiently serious to constitute a real threat to the family's economic stability. Assistance can only be given if on its own, or with assistance from other sources, an immediate and complete solution will be found to the situation or contribute to a plan providing reasonable assurance of long-term solution. The recommended solution should be the most basic and the most cost-effective remedy.
Continuation of Financial help for veterans
If a Veteran dies after applying for financial assistance, but before the decision has been rendered or payment issued, financial aid cannot be provided. However, if a surviving family member still needs financial assistance, that person should be invited to apply for assistance from the trust fund.
